I created “Black Fathers Matter” after contemplating the complicated relationship I had with my Father. In light of his recent passing I have decided to release two prints as an effort to commemorate his home going and Fathers Day this month. This work was created during a residency at the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Queens, NY in 2020. Soon after, his work was exhibited in a digital solo exhibition on LiviningLifeFearless.co, and at the International Print Center (IPCNY) in a show titled “Living in America” curated by Assembly Room.
